
| The Autodata CD runs properly on most Windows XP/Vista. The exceptions are some XP/Vista machines that may encounter functionality problems particularly with Repair Times and Timing Belts. | |||
| The symptoms are: | |||
When you click on a subject, from either the navigation bar or selecting from the data category window, the window flickers, and displays an extra autodata icon in the task bar. |

| Solution: | Changing the compatibility mode to run in Windows 2000, fixes the problem. | ||
| How to set the compatibility mode: | |||
| 1. | You must install Autodata CD . | ||
| 2. | Right-click the Autodata icon on the desktop, then click Properties. | ||
| 3. | Click the Compatibility tab, and under Compatibility mode click Run this program in compatibility mode for. | ||
| 4. | In the drop-down list, click Windows 2000. | ||
| 5. | Click Apply. | ||

| Next time you run Autodata CD from the desktop icon, the problems should be fixed. If symptons persist please contact your Software Support department. | |||
